We can’t wait to host you at GSIS for the Korea Council of Overseas Schools International Educators’ Conference 2018 (#KORCOSIEC18).  We are excited to make connections with the vision to create a better tomorrow.  That begins with the idea of a "We" being in the moment together, with the commitment to be our best selves for our students.

Secondary Assistant Principal and IBDP Coordinator
Tony Cartmel has a wide background in education with roles covering administration, teaching, lecturing, directing and workshop facilitation. He is excited to be undertaking the role of Secondary School Assistant Principal and IB Diploma Program Coordinator at GSIS. For the past six years, he was part of the International Department at Gyeonggi Academy of Foreign Languages, with the role of IB DPC  since 2013. He also taught Theory of Knowledge within the Diploma Program.

Previously, Tony held a variety of professional positions in Queensland schools in Australia. He has extensive experience in curriculum development, with a particular focus on arts education. Outside of the classroom, Tony has always been actively involved in extra-curricular programs, directing theatrical productions and coaching basketball. Tony also has considerable experience in production co-ordination and event management. His research interests are in the areas of positive psychology and the role of creativity in education.
