We are here: Compassion, Creativity, Change.

Let’s come together as a community of educators to reflect, grow and connect, empowering each other to create change agents for tomorrow.  What does it mean to be compassionate? What does it mean to be innovative? What does it mean to teach? To learn? To care?

We can’t wait to host you at GSIS for the Korea Council of Overseas Schools International Educators’ Conference 2018 (#KORCOSIEC18).  We are excited to make connections with the vision to create a better tomorrow.  That begins with the idea of a "We" being in the moment together, with the commitment to be our best selves for our students.

Let’s do this.

** Registration opens at the start of the 2018-19 school year.  Look to September 1, 2018 for the Registration Eventbrite.  Currently, we are in the process of curating presenters.  If you are an amazing educator and wish to share your craft with others next to these incredible human beings pre-selected, please apply HERE.**

Storytelling Your School

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Session Objectives:
1. See how small stories tell the bigger story
2. Walk away with tangible tools for how you can showcase your own school's stories

Session Description:
Think of a word or phrase that describes your classroom, activity or school. Creative? Challenging? Now think of a story that shows that word or phrase present in your classroom, activity or school. Those short stories illustrate the everyday experience of school life: we question, learn, solve, collaborate, fail forward, enjoy. While the end of a season or a final project are great celebrations, the process often best illustrates the character of a school.
Let’s use this session to talk about the value of storytelling our schools - giving pictures, words and videos a chance to show the overlooked everyday. During this session we will also address how to share our school stories with one another and our wider communities using a variety of social media platforms.
