KORCOS18 IEC has ended
We are here: Compassion, Creativity, Change.

Let’s come together as a community of educators to reflect, grow and connect, empowering each other to create change agents for tomorrow.  What does it mean to be compassionate? What does it mean to be innovative? What does it mean to teach? To learn? To care?

We can’t wait to host you at GSIS for the Korea Council of Overseas Schools International Educators’ Conference 2018 (#KORCOSIEC18).  We are excited to make connections with the vision to create a better tomorrow.  That begins with the idea of a "We" being in the moment together, with the commitment to be our best selves for our students.

Let’s do this.

Session Objectives:
1. To explore the multiple roles of a teacher.
2. To share ideas with others and build a PLN for collaboration.
3. To engage in discussion with others.

Session Description:
Have you ever considered how you balance the many roles that you play – teacher, guide, director, coach and mentor? As teachers, we are entrusted with shaping the future of young people and are afforded the responsibility for guiding their development.  Many schools today provide an holistic approach to education, where there is a focus on all aspects, including academic, pastoral, spiritual, physical, cultural and social. This is achieved through a wide range of approaches, with all staff having a part to play. This presentation examines the balancing act that teachers undertake on a daily basis, juggling academic needs along with care, concern and compassion.
