KORCOS18 IEC has ended
We are here: Compassion, Creativity, Change.

Let’s come together as a community of educators to reflect, grow and connect, empowering each other to create change agents for tomorrow.  What does it mean to be compassionate? What does it mean to be innovative? What does it mean to teach? To learn? To care?

We can’t wait to host you at GSIS for the Korea Council of Overseas Schools International Educators’ Conference 2018 (#KORCOSIEC18).  We are excited to make connections with the vision to create a better tomorrow.  That begins with the idea of a "We" being in the moment together, with the commitment to be our best selves for our students.

Let’s do this.

Limited Capacity seats available

Session Objectives:
1. Examine possibilities of cultivating authentic student voice and metacognition
2. Consider how individual and collective thinking structures empower all learners, inspiring confidence and cultivate empathy

Session Description:
As educators, we often fall into the trap of encouraging students to reflect solely in written form. However, I’ve discovered that vlogging makes student thinking more visible and can be used in a variety of ways to achieve various outcomes. I would like to share how I have been experimenting with student vlogging to build individual and collective thinking. As a metacognitive technique, vlogging invites authentic voice, clarifies and empowers thinking, builds confidence, creativity, community and cultivates empathy.  I invite you to join in the dialogue as I share techniques to cultivate connectivity.
