KORCOS18 IEC has ended
We are here: Compassion, Creativity, Change.

Let’s come together as a community of educators to reflect, grow and connect, empowering each other to create change agents for tomorrow.  What does it mean to be compassionate? What does it mean to be innovative? What does it mean to teach? To learn? To care?

We can’t wait to host you at GSIS for the Korea Council of Overseas Schools International Educators’ Conference 2018 (#KORCOSIEC18).  We are excited to make connections with the vision to create a better tomorrow.  That begins with the idea of a "We" being in the moment together, with the commitment to be our best selves for our students.

Let’s do this.

Session Objectives:
1. Gaining ideas on how to integrate curriculum and "make time"
2. Making your PLC work for you

Session Description:
A common challenge educators face is the limited instruction time versus the long list of “to-dos”. As a primary school teacher it can be challenging to fit in all the necessary content, differentiate instruction, assessments and the list goes on. This workshop will show you a way to MAKE time by integrating curriculum. Cross-curricular integration bridges the time and learning gap of content in different subject areas by connecting them. Practicing this method within your classroom gives students meaningful, relevant, and engaging lessons. Students will be able to comprehend and remember material better because it shows how Math, English, Science, and Social Studies are naturally connected in real life.
