KORCOS18 IEC has ended
We are here: Compassion, Creativity, Change.

Let’s come together as a community of educators to reflect, grow and connect, empowering each other to create change agents for tomorrow.  What does it mean to be compassionate? What does it mean to be innovative? What does it mean to teach? To learn? To care?

We can’t wait to host you at GSIS for the Korea Council of Overseas Schools International Educators’ Conference 2018 (#KORCOSIEC18).  We are excited to make connections with the vision to create a better tomorrow.  That begins with the idea of a "We" being in the moment together, with the commitment to be our best selves for our students.

Let’s do this.

Riza Tantay

Soccer Coach
Riza is a passionate soccer coach and player. Riza was introduced to the game at a very young age and throughout time has had the privilege to coach from elementary students up to collegiate level. One distinct moment in her playing career was when a group of men denied her play at a pick-up game at a park due to her being a woman and supposedly against someone's religion. This began her journey of how the sport can educate players about social problems that still exist today.

While working with The Sanneh Foundation, a non-profit that empowers youth by supporting and providing programs that strengthen physical health social and emotional development, she was trained NGO Coaches Across Continents and learned how practices could be used to expose social issues and provide perspective in an soccer skilled activity. Riza is currently playing with an all women's team in Seoul and uses her knowledge and expertise to coach other beginner teams.
