We can’t wait to host you at GSIS for the Korea Council of Overseas Schools International Educators’ Conference 2018 (#KORCOSIEC18).  We are excited to make connections with the vision to create a better tomorrow.  That begins with the idea of a "We" being in the moment together, with the commitment to be our best selves for our students.

John Mizell is an environmental science teacher at Korea International School, in Bundang-gu, South Korea. For the last four years, John has been educating at Martin L. Nesbitt Jr. Discovery Academy in Asheville, NC, a public STEM themed Project-Based Learning school. This is his ninth year teaching high school science, and his second time living in Korea. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Central Florida, in biological sciences, and his Master's is in school administration from Western Carolina University. He has a passion for effective pedagogy, project-based learning, filming, hiking, and snowboarding.
