We can’t wait to host you at GSIS for the Korea Council of Overseas Schools International Educators’ Conference 2018 (#KORCOSIEC18).  We are excited to make connections with the vision to create a better tomorrow.  That begins with the idea of a "We" being in the moment together, with the commitment to be our best selves for our students.

Scott Smith

Scott Smith has been a dendrite developer for over two decades. He has deep experience as a classroom teacher from elementary to university. He was the architect of a Master’s Degree graduate program that embraced digital portfolios as a metric of personal and professional growth. He was invited to share his ideas in multiple presentations at International ISTE Conference (USA), annual CUE conference (4,000-member Computer Using Educators, California), and and at a local CVCUE conference (a 500-member organization in California).

Scott is also a storyteller for life. He currently works as a Media Developer at Korea International School where he produced a series titled, “Teachers as Humans”. He works with elementary students to produce videos and consults with high school students in Digital Journalism and Media Broadcast. He ran an award winning high school video program for five years. He is the founder of the Slick Rock Student Film Festival that receives and reviews over 300 student films each year. He also founded a high-profile Award Show associated with the SRSFF that recently celebrated its 15th year.

Scott believes that students are in control of the learning and they are eager to “Show what they know”. He also smiles the widest during long bike rides, mountain hikes, and singing worship songs.
