KORCOS18 IEC has ended
We are here: Compassion, Creativity, Change.

Let’s come together as a community of educators to reflect, grow and connect, empowering each other to create change agents for tomorrow.  What does it mean to be compassionate? What does it mean to be innovative? What does it mean to teach? To learn? To care?

We can’t wait to host you at GSIS for the Korea Council of Overseas Schools International Educators’ Conference 2018 (#KORCOSIEC18).  We are excited to make connections with the vision to create a better tomorrow.  That begins with the idea of a "We" being in the moment together, with the commitment to be our best selves for our students.

Let’s do this.

Summer Freeman

MS Student
Kids can do anything, even teach adults, as the 11-year-old Summer Freeman will tell you!  She tells her story of how she transferred her passion from one place to another, connecting to new places, making new friends, and overcoming her fears of the unknown through dance.

Summer is an extraordinary Grade 6 student at Gyeonggi Suwon International School.  She was born in Calgary, Alberta, holds a Canadian passport, but has lived abroad for 70% of her life in China and Korea.  Active in her school council and various performances, Summer is a courageous 11-year-old unafraid to be on stage. Summer has a sister and brother on either side of her and therefore has the benefit of being the middle child: full of patience, cooperation, and a willingness to try new things. Summer loves dancing, gymnastics, CrossFit and doing tricks with her cat, Maple Tiger.
